SpaceX's Starship Completes Major Test Flight Milestones

SpaceX has achieved critical milestones with its Starship program during its fourth integrated flight test, departing from Starbase in Texas. The massive rocket, designed for interplanetary travel, successfully lifted off and executed a series of planned maneuvers.

During the ascent, both the Super Heavy booster and the Starship upper stage performed as expected. The booster stage successfully separated from the Starship vehicle, a crucial step in the launch sequence. Following stage separation, the Super Heavy booster executed a boostback burn and a landing burn, aiming for a soft splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico. The Starship upper stage continued its journey, reaching its intended trajectory and performing a re-entry burn to manage its descent.

The test flight demonstrated advancements in Starship's thermal protection system during atmospheric re-entry. The vehicle successfully controlled its orientation as it plunged back towards Earth's atmosphere, a vital capability for future missions.
