Polish SLS 3D printer manufacturer Sinterit has announced a collaboration with polymer post-processing specialist DyeMansion. This partnership will enable Sinterit to offer its customers an integrated workflow that includes printing, vapor smoothing, and coloring.
Initially, Sinterit will provide DyeMansion's compact VX1 vapor smoothing system directly to its clients. As production needs expand, Sinterit can also supply the DM60 coloring system and other DyeMansion products. This collaboration follows Sinterit's recent introduction of its BIANCO2 SLS printer, designed for processing white and natural powders.
The companies aim to democratize professional finishing capabilities, making them accessible to smaller SLS users who previously might have only seen such processes in larger industrial settings. Customers can now acquire both their printing and post-processing equipment through a single source, Sinterit, simplifying the setup of their manufacturing chain.
Łukasz Adach, CFO at Sinterit, stated that the partnership combines Sinterit's adaptable SLS ecosystem with DyeMansion's advanced industrial post-processing technologies. This allows customers to tailor their manufacturing setups, covering printing, surface finishing, and coloring, to their specific requirements. The VX1 system utilizes DyeMansion's proprietary VaporFuse Surfacing technology to smooth and seal printed components, achieving a finish comparable to injection-molded parts.
The workflow is particularly suited for applications where surface quality and aesthetics are critical. Users can print parts on the BIANCO2, smooth them to seal surfaces using the VX1, and then apply color with the DM60. This integrated approach enables the production of finished end-use components, moving beyond the realm of prototypes. Sinterit customers will also gain access to DyeMansion's wider product range, including the automated DM60 coloring system for industrial polymer parts.
