Revopoint Unveils Wireless 3D Scanner for Industrial Measurement

Revopoint has introduced the Trackit SR, a next-generation industrial 3D scanner designed to streamline quality control, reverse engineering, and on-site measurement processes. A key innovation is its marker-free optical tracking system, which eliminates the need for applying markers to scanned objects. Instead, the system tracks the scanner's position in real-time, enabling the capture of high-accuracy 3D data on bare surfaces with reduced preparation.

This marker-free approach is particularly beneficial for scanning large, complex, or dark and reflective surfaces, where marker application can be difficult or impractical. The Trackit SR offers three blue laser scanning modes, all capable of directly scanning challenging materials without the need for surface treatment sprays. The scanner boasts a single-frame accuracy of up to 0.02 mm and volumetric accuracy suitable for large workpieces, ensuring precision in demanding industrial environments.

Designed for efficiency and portability, the Trackit SR operates wirelessly via Wi-Fi 6, connecting both the scanner and tracker to a PC. The scanner's integrated battery provides up to 2.5 hours of runtime, with an optional battery grip available for the tracker. This wireless capability allows for greater freedom of movement around large objects and in various on-site locations, even under bright lighting conditions up to 100,000 lux.

To ensure measurement stability, the system incorporates built-in heating elements that bring the tracker to optimal operating temperature within two minutes, along with real-time temperature monitoring to minimize accuracy drift during extended scanning sessions. A CMM Edition is also available, including a metrology-grade ball plate for on-site accuracy verification. The scanner utilizes Revopoint's software suite for data capture, analysis, and CAD-ready output.
