Mimaki and Cleeks Golf Club Create Miniature 3D Printed Golf Bags

Mimaki USA, a manufacturer of digital printing and cutting products, has partnered with the professional golf team Cleeks Golf Club to create a series of miniature golf bag collectibles. These limited edition items are part of Cleeks' "Art of Golf" cultural series, which features artist-designed golf bags used by their professional golfers during the 2026 LIV Golf tournament.

The collaboration aims to reproduce the unique artistic visions and cultural influences present in the original, full-sized golf bags. Each 15 cm golf bag collectible is 3D printed in one piece on Mimaki's 3DUJ-553 system, which is capable of producing over 10 million colors. This allows for the faithful replication of intricate details, textures, and color transitions without the need for assembly or painting.

The "Art of Golf" series highlights artists who respond to the discipline and pressure of golf, using the golf bag as a functional canvas. Designs often reflect the local culture of the tournament locations, incorporating regional symbols and artistic styles. For example, one design features the Northern Cardinal and Flowering Dogwood, inspired by Virginia.

Traditional manufacturing methods would struggle to replicate the complexity and color fidelity of these designs. The 3D printing approach bypasses the need for reduced color palettes and simplified shapes. The 3DUJ-553 printer's capabilities ensure that the miniature versions preserve the integrity of the original artwork, offering fans a tangible piece of art that extends beyond traditional golf memorabilia.

Each of the 14 unique golf bag designs is produced in a limited run of 25, resulting in a total of 350 collectible models available for purchase at LIV Golf tournament events. The initiative has already garnered attention at events in the US, Spain, Korea, and Mexico, with Mimaki assisting in the production for upcoming rounds in the UK and US.
