Italian manufacturer Kentstrapper has unveiled the Mille, a large-format FDM 3D printer with an impressive build volume of 1,000 x 1,000 x 1,000 mm. This new system, previewed at Mecspe 2026, is now available for order starting at €40,000 plus VAT, with each unit custom-built in Florence.

Kentstrapper's Mantis extruder, utilized in the Mille, supports interchangeable nozzles from 0.4 to 1.4 mm and layer heights ranging from 0.1 to 1.2 mm, allowing for a balance between fine detail and rapid material deposition. The Magnetic Extrusion System enables toolhead changes in under 30 seconds. For extended or unattended prints, the Mille incorporates dual extruders and a continuity mode, where a second extruder can seamlessly take over if the first encounters a material shortage or feed issue.

Supported materials include common filaments like PLA, PETG, ASA, and TPU, as well as advanced options such as ASA-CF, glass- and carbon-fiber-reinforced nylon, PPS-CF, ESD-safe materials, and UL 94 V-0 certified compounds. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and USB. The machine operates on custom Klipper firmware and features a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen. It also includes automatic power-loss recovery for prints up to 72 hours.

Further enhancing its industrial capabilities, the Mille integrates with Kentstrapper’s KS Ai System for remote monitoring, fleet management, and technical support. The system connects securely via an encrypted tunnel to Cloudflare servers, with remote commands requiring authentication. A dedicated Telegram bot provides real-time notifications, status updates, and allows for over-the-air software updates. Additionally, Clara, an AI-based support assistant, is integrated to help users troubleshoot issues.
