Axtra3D Validates Keystone's KeySplint Hard Clear for Lumia X1 Printer

Axtra3D has announced the validation of KeySplint Hard Clear, a dental resin developed by partner Keystone Industries, for use with its Lumia X1 3D printer. This marks the second Keyprint resin to be validated for the platform, following KeyModel Ultra earlier in 2026. The addition of KeySplint Hard Clear, a rigid and clear material, enhances the Axtra.Solutions portfolio for the Lumia X1, specifically targeting dental applications.

KeySplint Hard Clear is engineered for demanding dental uses such as post-trauma tooth immobilization and orthodontic retainers. These applications require materials that can maintain their shape and finish under consistent daily wear. Keystone reports that the resin offers resistance to staining and abrasion, is designed for easy cleaning, and can withstand chewing forces, bruxism, and exposure to saliva and beverages without degradation.

Axtra3D attributes the material's performance to its Hybrid PhotoSynthesis (HPS) printing process, which combines a laser and a 4K DLP projector. This dual-imaging approach allows for simultaneous curing of both bulk volumes and fine surface details, contributing to the durability and accuracy of printed parts. The combination aims to deliver wear-ready components with minimal post-processing and consistent, stable outcomes for dental labs, streamlining workflows and reducing variability.

KeySplint Hard Clear is now available for purchase through Axtra3D's sales channels. While the resin is also offered in a Light Violet shade, only the Clear variant has been specifically validated for the Lumia X1. Axtra3D is currently undergoing validation for four additional Keyprint materials, including KeyOrtho Model, KeyGuide, KeySplint Soft, and KeySplint Soft Clear, indicating a broader strategy to integrate Keystone's dental material range with the Lumia X1 platform.
